About

A practice built for the conversation that does not happen on a webform.

Meridian Private is an independent advisory firm. We counsel principal families on the architecture of where they live, where they pay tax, and which passport their children will hold. We do not sell programmes. We do not earn commissions. We charge for judgment.

Who we are

One firm, four desks, one standard.

The firm operates from four desks — Istanbul, Athens, Lisbon, Dubai — with a long-standing counterparty practice in Basseterre, St. Kitts. Each desk is staffed by a senior counsellor whose job is to own the file from intake to issued document, and to remain accountable to the principal for renewals, citizenship transitions, and the architecture questions that follow.

We are deliberately small. The size of the firm is the size we can run without diluting the standard. We add a desk when the geography requires it; we add counsellors when an existing desk's load justifies one. We do not staff for growth.

What we do

Three things.

  1. Residency & citizenship counsel.

The work for which most clients first engage us. Programme selection, file preparation, local counterparty management, application execution, document delivery.

  2. Tax-residency & treaty planning.

Frequently the more consequential layer. Where the family lives, where the principal is taxed, how the corporate vehicles structure around it. Done in concert with existing counsel, not in competition with them.

  3. Multi-jurisdictional family architecture.

For families holding two or more passports and three or more bank accounts: the long-term architecture work — succession, intergenerational transfer, school placement, operating-business redomiciliation. A retainer practice.

Standards

The four lines we will not move.

One named principal on every file.

You will know your counsellor's name, voice, calendar and direct number. The engagement letter names them. Continuity is not delegated to a CRM.

No commission, no kickback, no surprise.

Our fee is disclosed in advance and does not change based on programme. We do not accept rebates from developers, fund managers, banks or law firms. Where local counterparties invoice the file, the fees pass through at cost.

Programme rules verified at the source.

Every figure on this site, every requirement in your memorandum, traces back to the issuing authority. We log the source URL and the date of last verification. Where the position is uncertain, we say so in writing.

You own your data.

Files are encrypted at rest, accessible to your counsellor and the named local counsel only, and destroyed thirty days after engagement closes — unless you instruct us otherwise. We do not maintain a marketing database.

A note on what we are not

We do not earn margin on the deal.

A great deal of the immigration-by-investment industry is structured around developer commissions, programme volume bonuses, and relationships with banks that pay placement fees. The result is recommendation flow that runs in one direction: toward the product the firm earns most on.

Our model is the inverse. We are paid by the principal, in a fixed sum, disclosed in advance. The recommendation you receive is the recommendation we would give our own family in your circumstances — which is occasionally the recommendation that no programme fits at all, and we will tell you that in writing.

It is not a heroic position. It is the only position that produces durable trust with the kind of principal we are built to serve.
